Position Summary The Vice President of Enterprise Quality Assurance will oversee quality assurance initiatives for all software products and solutions in the Eclipsys portfolio. The Vice President - Enterprise QA is responsible for directing the Quality Assurance process for multiple software products and providing supervision to the Quality Assurance Managers and analysts. S/he is responsible for ensuring quality of software releases and managing resources accurately to deliver products in a timely fashion. The position requires that the individual work as an evangelist too not only measure quality but to also champion quality initiatives and outline The position will be responsible for the development of quality reporting and measurement frameworks, client driven test plans, strategic quality initiatives and oversee the certification of the company’s performance, scalability, reliability and security testing and compliance policies. Key Relationships Reports to: Chief Technology Officer or his/her designee Direct reports: QA teams; ~ 240 employees in North America and India Other key relationships: Product Strategy Team; Product Development Team Primary Responsibilities The candidate will be responsible for the following key activities and responsibilities: 1) QA Strategy: Development of a three-year quality strategy to help drive excellence across all products and the overall platform. 2) QA Goals and Development: Responsible for the development of client-driven QA metrics and targets for each product and as part of a cross-product initiative to assure all Eclipsys products work independently and together in a high quality manner. This position will work closely with Product Strategy and Product Development teams to help identify and develop test cases, quality metrics and targets for cross-product/solution workflows and scenarios. Specific responsibilities include: • Define and implement testing methodology that incorporated best practices for a new systems and current system enhancements. • Deliver high quality products in a predictable manner. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise quality solutions. • Daily monitoring of the QA process to insure that the methods are being followed. Constant reinvestment in regression testing procedures, test plans and staff education. • Maintain a level of knowledge on the internal systems in order to provide support to QA staff. • Oversee PSRS (Performance, Scalability, Reliability, Security) teams and assure all products meet established targets. 3) QA Evangelism: This position will evangelize QA and be highly visible as the champion of QA to both internal and external clients. The position will develop marketing campaigns, messaging and collateral to help educate others and develop a corporate culture that embraces a quality driven mindset. 4) Leadership: Coach, mentor and lead highly dynamic team members to help achieve the requirements of this position as well as the individual career goals of team members. Required Skills & Experience Candidate will also possess the following key competencies: 1) Strong ability to interpret internal and external client quality requirements, identify gaps in quality plans and metrics. 2) Strong analytical capabilities. 3) Strong leadership and managerial skills. 4) The ability to influence organizations. Ability to enhance, develop & manage team members to an expected level of productivity and results. Achieving organizational results through influence (vs. direct reports). Background and understanding in servant leadership principles. 5) Entrepreneurial, innovative and results oriented. ? 6) Excellent communications and presentation capabilities as well as strong organizational skills. 7) Ten or more years in progressive positions of employment with commercial software companies that demonstrate the ability to fulfill the requirements of this position. 8) Five or more year’s proven experience in the development of quality assurance teams. 9) Strong understanding of technology principles related to high performance computing, high transaction systems, great user experience design tenets and effective workflow design. 10) A strong understanding of product development processes, including full product development lifecycle principles, is required including requirements definition and prioritization. 11) Bachelor’s degree preferred.
