Clinical Analyst- Pharmacy Full Time Regular posted 12.01.09
 
Requirements
Primary Responsibilities: The Pharmacy Analyst is responsible for obtaining information technology and workflow requirements from the pharmacy departments, and then configuring the Sunrise Medication application software to reflect these requirements. Input is acquired from enterprise workgroups representatives, design teams/workgroups and other staff using an organized and well-defined process (which includes the use of data collection tools and workbooks). The data gathered is then used to define the configurable components of the Sunrise Medication Manager being implemented.

Additional responsibilities include:
• Analyzing and/or assessing pharmacy area workflow
• Defining and documenting pharmacy end-user functional requirements
• Assisting in the development of pharmacy policies and procedures
• Facilitating screen design, including user-modifiable components
• Collecting data for configuration and display
• Coding/configuring tables and/or files
• Analyzing report requirements
• Reviewing standard product reports
• Documenting all activities following established project/enterprise standards
• Conducting a unit test of responsible area(s)
• Assisting in Unit, Functional, Integrated, Mock Activation, and User Acceptance testing, as needed
• Working with the IT department and Pharmacy staff both during the implementation and after the activation, as required
• Providing operation support once the system is activated
• Following change control and meeting the service level requirements for incident tracking.
• Participates in an on-call rotation schedule for incident support

Specific experience / skills required.

• Aptitude to gain knowledge of a new application and/or software
•Knowledgeable in other software products, as needed, such as Microsoft Word and Excel
•Knowledge of applicable software product, Sunrise Clinical Manager a plus
•Positive attitude, highly motivated, and a conscientious employee
•General familiarity with data entry formats and terminology
•Knowledge of configuration tools used to implement the application or software
•Ability to identify discrepancies between Customer processing needs and capabilities of the software
•product
•Skill in troubleshooting basic technical problems related to the implementation and processing of software product
•Ability to research and analyze information
•Skill in communicating orally and in writing
•Clinical Healthcare Background
