This Healthcare IT Project Manager will work with Information Services, the health system, the vendor, and hospital sponsors. The Project Manager will focus on leading the planning and project proposal development for information system projects including gathering requirements, high level system design, identifying and estimating resources required for sound technical solutions. There is significant direct interface with clients at all levels within the health system and functional area technical teams. Primary Responsibilities: • Lead the planning and coordination of infrastructure and information system projects including gathering requirements and project planning. This includes identifying business, application, interface, infrastructure, desktop, requirements and scope of the project, identifying optimal technical solution options, resource estimates, and project costs. • Develop project work proposals which include all associated supporting written project documentation. Provide risk and issue identification enabling proactive decisions and actions to mitigate project scope, schedule, and budget overages as well as project assumptions, and constraints. • Demonstrate strong leadership skills with significant direct interface with clients at all levels within the organization having essential responsibilities to manage the customer relationship and resolve customer issues. • Facilitate communication and up to date work progress across key stakeholders to assure timely attainment of project proposal milestones. • Develop IT product and service catalogs to be used as an estimating tool; revise the IT TCO model to accurately reflect resource needs for system implementation and production support and any additional tools as needed. • Leverage functional area project delivery teams to assure that project proposals are accurate, escalate issues for appropriate and timely resolution, and adhere to PMO methodologies Education, Experience, & Skills (Minimum Requirement): • Bachelor’s Degree is required; (Technical Degree Preferred). • Prefer a minimum of three years healthcare IT experience with the ability to apply supporting technology to the health system. • Project implementation experience required, having a strong understanding of system implementation planning and execution, familiar with application technologies including database, interface, and general infrastructure technology. • Must have the ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals and experience developing and implementing complex project plans • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. • Versatility and flexibility, superior customer relationship skills, organization, negotiation, and project management skills are essential (PMP Certification preferred). • Exceptional communication, executive presence, presentation and leadership skills required. • Experience with MS Project or NIKU Workbench Any unsolicited resumes that are received via email, FAX, or other method will become the property of Eclipsys Corporation and no fees will be paid unless the recruiting agency/recruiter (i) is approved to work with Eclipsys pursuant to a valid contract, and (ii) contacts the corporate recruiter and obtains the corporate recruiter’s permission to work on such search. |
