The ideal candidate will have at 5-10 years in the Healthcare IT field with at least 3 years in a hospital environment and a minimum of a BS degree (or equivalent work experience) in IT and/or Health Sciences. A solid, proven record of success is required. The position requires a background in, and knowledge of, PACs, Nurse Charting/CPOE, Radiology, Cardiology, Ambulatory Physician practices, Laboratory, Sunrise, or equivalent. Key responsibilities will include: Develop and direct the implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and work standards for the team; determines staffing and operational needs; works with direct manager to prepare budgets and forecasts as assigned. Plan, organize, administer, review and evaluate the work of assigned professional, technical, office support and operational staff; supports the selection, training of professional staff. Facilitate communication with key stakeholders, Eclipsys and client management Represent IS in executive level meetings, as requested, for the areas of responsibility. Provide guidance and participate in discussions for strategic planning and budgeting for clinical application teams with the business, and Eclipsys management. Direct the preparation of a variety of senior level correspondence, reports, procedures, and other materials. To be successful the candidate must establish solid relationships with the client, the Corporate and local Eclipsys team, be a self starter and demonstrate superior leadership qualities in a technical/clinical environment. Position will have 10-12 direct reports.
